As I look to get into the gaming industry, most of the time the person or contact that I've to deal with are HR or Creative Director. One day, between two jobs, I was wondering how to spicy my application… and suddenly my little grey cells pop up with an idea : “You're on a journey, right ? In a desperate quest to work in video game, isn't it ? And you have to face some recruiters, directors, even the boss ? So as in a game, right ? So let's write a scenario to present yourself, your skills, your professional past in order to find a job but in a “quest way“ !“.
Two hours later, I've got the context, the objective, the storyline, the bad guys (sorry my dears HR or C. Director)… and one of the most important thing : the prize !
It was fun to write, to scratch my head, to gather all the elements I want to share or the intention I want the reader to feel… once and for all : quests are the best !
content it's anytime,
content is everything !
content is king !
When we talk about writing things, I think I produced a lot and a lot of content. As sales pitch or texts in order to promote a product, a manifesto for a brand or his content system, a tagline/CTA for an app. Or find the naming of a new service, a storyline/theme for a new campaign, imagine & create some (mini)games for “activate“ (and captivate) the consumers in store or in a digital way. Some marketing emails, scripts for copy TV, radio, motion design or for corporate film. I wrote brochures, catalogs or flyers, websites & newsletters with SEO optimization… and using the UX Writing approach to research & analyze the trends of natural languages, elaborate a user flow and draft things using the Easy Read (ER) methodology and… so on & so on !
So yes, when we talk about writing things, I think I had produced a lot and a lot of content and still in the loop !
